Make A Payment


Child support payments are collected and processed by the California State Disbursement Unit (SDU). There are multiple methods available to submit payments to the SDU, click on the payment options below for more information.

 

Submit payment by credit card, debit card, or electronic fund transfer

You can submit a payment online by credit card, debit card, or electronic fund transfer 24 hours.

 

To help us ensure you receive credit for a payment you will need to enter your Child Support Participant ID Number. If you do not know your Child Support Participant ID Number you can call Customer Connect at 1-866-901-3212, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Submit payment by phone

You can submit payment by phone by calling Customer Connect at 1-866-901-3212, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. A child support professional will assist you with completing the payment transaction.

Submit payment by mail a check, money order, or cashier’s check

You can submit payment by check, money order, or cashier’s check through the mail. Send your payments to:

 Note: All payments sent by mail should be received by the 20th of each month to ensure credit is given for the appropriate month.

Submit payment in person

: You can make a payment at our TouchPay kiosk Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Our office is located at 5669 Gibraltar Drive, Pleasanton.

Submit a payment using PayNearMe

California Department of Child Support Services has added a new convenient way for you to pay your child support. Our office has partnered with PayNearMe, which offers over 1500 locations throughout the State of California to provide bill paying services.

 

You can now pay your child support through PayNearMe without having to travel to your local child support office. There is a low $1.99 fee to make a child support payment at a PayNearMe location.

You can sign-up to use this service online. You will need to create an account with PayNearMe to use this payment option. Your account will include information required by the California State Disbursement Unit to identify you and ensure you receive credit for you payment. Sign-up Here

 

Once you have registered a payment code (barcode) will need to be created. Click on ‘Create Barcode’ to generate your custom barcode. Make sure the ‘Who would you like to pay?’ section displays ‘State of California DCSS’. Create Barcode

 

You can store the PayNearMe PayCode on your mobile device or print it. You will need the PayCode to make your payment. Click on ‘Payment Locations’ to identify a participating store. Payment Locations

 

You can pay a maximum of $1,000.00 per transaction per location. In addition there is a total daily limit of $2,900.00 no matter the location, and a 30 day limit of $10,000.00.
